Messages Face-Lift 
- We've rebuilt the sending functionality of our messaging system. It should be easier to use!
- You still click the mail icon to send messages, but now it opens a Send Window. It's much cleaner.
- ALSO, We've given the message page a face lift!
- Now it contains links to the various functions within IJL and a slightly modified look.
- Our next plan for messaging is to incorporate it as part of Your Profile :)

JackPot Pre-Release 
- We've gone ahead and pre-released the JackPot.
- This month will NOT be a JackPot month, but it will give you a chance to get familiar with THE JACKPOT!
- Jan 2007 will be the first JackPot Month!

Runners Up 
- We've enhanced the Spotlight page by adding the tree runners up for each category.
- A simple ; separted list displays the names of the 3 runners up to each category.

- In Your Profile, under the corresponding category, you'll find a list of the most recent receptions

- This is huge!!!!
- All Members can now send AND receive messages through the IJL messaging system.
- Click the mail icon corresponding to member to send them a quick message.
- Oh... and keep an eye out for New Mail!

Improvement Opinion Notification
- We figured it was time to bring the improvement/judging functionality into the rest of the world of IJL.
- Since everything else has a notification, it made sense to add it for improvement judging as well.
- You will be notified, unless you choose to unsub, for every 5 judgements you receive.
- We also adjusted the number of ratings it takes to receive a notification to 3.
- After some quick analysis, this number made more sense.

- A new addition to Your Profile! Profile Views.
- This just simply lists the last 15 profiles you have viewed.

New Top 20 Filter
- We originally built the Top 20 list with a restriction of receiving at least 3 ratings.
- This restriction is still in place, but now it's the default of a new filtering option.
- You can now filter the Top 20 list by min. ratings received of 3, 10 or 30.

Unsub
- No we're not referring to Criminal Minds terminology; it has to do with stopping emails from IJL.
- Now when you receive notification emails from our system, you'll find a link to unsubscribe.
- Simply click the link, login and you will stop receiving that particular notification. Easy stuff.
- You currently have the ability to change these settings within Your Profile; however, this'll be easier.

FYI: Major Problems, AGAIN 
- We again encountered the same series of problems, as noted on 8/24, over the past few days with our server
- We realized everything that happened on 9/17 was lost... (what, is this a monthly thing!?!?!?)
- Again, it was out of our hands... however, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused
- We are seriously considering changing hosting providers!!!

Improvement Direction
- We've added a new icon () which is used for the improvement/judgment page
- You'll find this new icon utilized when...
...viewing a member's profile, giving advice, offering compliments and/or rating photos
- The icon will only appear for those members who have uploaded a before AND after photo
- We've also added an improvement page to Your Profile
- Here... your improvement results are highlighted and you can see a list of the last 8 members you judged ;)

Top Lists Enhancement & On/Offline Icons
- We've added a filtering option for "since yesterday" to many of the tops lists.
- Included are: Top Advisors,
Top Complimentors,
Top Raters,
Top Judges.
- Limits results to members who advised, complimented, rated or judged since the beginning of yesterday.
- We've also added some new icons to the member profile view; online / offline

FYI: Major Problems
- We encountered some series problems over the past few days with our server
- It began by affecting access to the site... eventually locking everyone out completely
- When we came back to life, we realized everything that happened on 8/18 was lost...
- All coding changes/enhancements, ratings/advice/compliments/new members... poof, gone
- We are taking action to make sure this never happens again!!
- We then discovered the system time was a day ahead... if you were in IJL, you were living in the future ;-)
- The only other effect of this disruption was emailing. All emails from the site were halted
- As of yesterday afternoon, all functionality has been restored and we are running at full speed again
- Though it was completely out of our hands, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused

- We have a look for Your Profile.
- The idea is to make the navigation a little more expandable & intuitive (your feedback is appreciated).
- We put in a new poll along with the release of the "Your Profile" enhancements.

Random Fixes & Enhancements
- Now every increment of 10 ratings you receive you will receive an email notification.
- Of course, you can turn this option off in Your Profile under Emailing Options.
- Under the Compliments section of Your Profile you can break down the compliments you've recevied.
- By default you can view all the compliments you've received for both your before & after photos.
- Now you can choose to view the compliments you've recieved for one or the other
- ...if you have uploaded both photos that is.

- As a result (yes, it took too long to build this one), another new award has been introduced... Top Judge
- This will also be an new addition to the Spotlight

- We've built a Birthdays page.
- This page lists members whose birthday's are within the next 21 days.
- If it's their birthday today, you can send them a birthday wish through ItsJustLooks.com.
- So, be sure to update Your Profile with your birth date so you can be on the list!

- We've added an enhancement to the main page in Your Profile, Higher Than.
- Criteria: upload a photo, receive ratings and earn a rating higher than 50% of the members of your gender.
- Signin and check Your Profile, it's pretty hard to miss.

- Built because of a member suggestion! Suggesting Member: Molly!
- This function is designed for you to create your own list of Top Members.
- You'll be able to create your own list of Top Guys and Top Girls.
- Notice the new icon on the IJL pages ( ), click this to add members to YOUR tops list.
- Edit and/or View YOUR tops list within Your Profile.
- A new award has been introduced with this enhancement: Top List Ribbon:

Goodbye Google AdSense
- As many of you had probably noticed, we got our feet wet with advertising.
- Google AdSense was the provider of choice, keyword "was"
- However, they have, in my opinion, inappropriately closed our account
- As a result we will no longer waste our time with them.
- All this means is you won't be seeing any ads, unless we choose to do something with a new provider.

- We've broken down the viewing of advice & compliments received in Your Profile.
- In both cases you can now see separately the latest piece of advice or compliment received.

- Attempting to get some feedback from our members, we've built functionality to post polls.
- If have not already answered the first poll, you will find it on the left side of Your Profile.
- The poll disappears and you will see the results once you have given your answer.

Periodic Newsletter!
- The first sending of the ItsJustLooks.com - Periodic Newsletter.
- To start with it contains the top advisor, complimentor, rated girl & rated guy.
- Also, starting today, you have the ability to choose if you want to receive any more newsletters.
- By default, everyone receives a copy of the newsletter, unless specified otherwise in Your Profile.
- Since we were messing with mailing options in Your Profile...
- ...we added options for advice, compliment & message notification, now it's up to you!

- A brand new function to ItsJustLooks.com!
- This function is designed to bring a little sunshine into your life :)
- The basic functionality is very similar to the advice page, so you'll pick it up quickly.
- You will receive an email notification if you've received a compliment!
- is the icon used in reference to giving compliments; you'll see it all over the place.
- A new award has been introduced with this function as well... Top Complimentor 
- To view the compliments you have received, goto Your Profile.

- This is one of those things when looking back it doesn't make sense why we didn't build it this way.
- In case you'd made a mistake, your first and last names can now be modified.
- Goto Your Profile to make these changes.

Rating

Advice
- A small enhancement was made today to the rating and advising pages.
- Rating & Advice: the photos that appear have been completely random
- Rating & Advice: now new photos will be given priority
- Rating: new photos that have not yet been rated will display until they have been.
- Rating: when all the new photos have been rated, the normal random selection is re-enabled.
- Advice: new before photos which have not received advice will display until they have.
- Advice: when all the new before photos have received advice, the normal random selection is re-enabled.
- The idea behind this change is to help the newbies to get some immediate IJL action.

Messaging
- A small enhancement was made today, the message size limit was 200 characters; it's now 500.
- This will give greater flexibility to our PAID members when sending messages.

New Look Private Profile!
- With all the new ideas we want to put in place the decision was made to redesign the Your Profile page.
- Your Profile will now be broken down into tabs: Main, Advice, Messages, Profile and Password.
- The Main tab has the basics along with alerts of new advice received, etc...
- The Advice tab has the details for the advice you have received.
- The Advice tab also has a new feature: a list of the last 8 members you offered advice to.
- The Messages tab directs you to the message center available only to PAID members.
- The Profile tab has the editable details of your public profile.
- The Password tab allows you to change your password.
